Award-winning pastry chef Dedy Sutan refreshes potato head Jakarta’s dessert menu

If you’ve been to the capital city of Indonesia, you might have heard of Potato Head Jakarta as being one of the most popular bar and restaurants in the capital’s bustling South Central Business District. Set in a vintage industrial setting, this unique establishment has set a new standard for casual gourmet cuisine in the capital and is now presenting a new dessert menu by one of the country’s promising pastry chef, Chef Dedy Sutan.

Chef Dedy Sutan, who also led the Indonesian national pastry team to the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie 2017 (World Pastry Cup), earned this honour by taking the “Best Taste Prize” at the Asian Pastry Cup Finale.




Using his skills and experience with classic desserts, Chef Dedy combines indigenous fruits, such as apples from Malang, mango and coconut, as well as ingredients produced by local artisans, such as chocolatier Pipiltin, to create new takes on classical favourites.




Opened in 2009, Potato Head Jakarta is not content to rest on its past accomplishments and is regularly updating its menu in order to keep a high standard and delighting diners.
