EMILY'S OFFICIAL JOURNEY IN THE FITNESS INDUSTRY STARTED IN SALES AND OPERATIONS AT AN INTERNATIONAL MULTI-CHAIN FITNESS CORPORATION, WHERE SHE EVENTUALLY TURNED HER PASSION FOR FITNESS FROM MANAGEMENT TO "FITNESS PROFESSIONAL."
Get chiseled and sweat it out with this workout series of 8 episodes comprising unprecedented "do it at home" routines created specially by master trainer Emily Tan. Emily is a certified professional trainer in fitness, pole acrobatics, aerial arts and dance, and is currently developing Asia's only accredited Pole Fitness Instructor Courses.

Unlike your traditional workout programme, Body Blaze is set against some of Malaysia's most stunning backdrops to keep you motivated! Be dazzled by some of Malaysia's most picturesque places including the Metropolitan Park, Putrajaya, Titiwangsa Lake and the beaches of the country's east coast.

WORKOUT TIPS
TOP TEN TIPS TO MOVING BETTER
  1. Develop the desire. Get the mindset in sync with the desire to look and feel better.
  2. Start small. Make mini goals that will lead up to the main goal.
  3. Go Shopping! Get excited and look forward to working in those new workout clothes.
  4. Focus - on the benefits and rewarding outcomes, instead of the journey that may seem difficult.
  5. Reward - each goal achievement. Whether it's a trip to the spa or a new set of workout gear.
  6. Make music a part of the activity. Put a playlist together that gets your blood pumping and energy level up to push you during the workout.
  7. Decrease amount of processed food. Recent studies have shown that high amount of processed food can effect mood and weight.
  8. Stay hydrated! Lack of hydration can contribute to low energy and poor concentration.
  9. Get a trainer. Safety should always come first especially when you are just starting out and learning how to exercise efficiently.
  10. Incorporate strength training in your workout regime. Weight training can help you lose fats.

Despite the lack of fitness education providers in Malaysia, Emily persistently keeps herself up to date with the latest workouts by traveling through fitness educated countries such as Hong Kong and Australia for formal training and seminars.

Having obtained certifications from NASM (Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist & Performance Enhancement Specialist), Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Association (Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Coach), TRX Suspension Training, ViPR and Movement Efficiency Training method, Emily's experience also includes instructing and program designing in aerial arts and vertical (pole) acrobatics & fitness for Asia's leading accredited academy Viva Vertical.

Emily is also pursuing a degree in Nutrition and continues to conduct group fitness class and personal training with her company Embodyme Solutions, partnering with a Kinesiologist and a Chiropractor.
