THE DOCTORS

Dr. Stork is an emergency room physician, who practices at a trauma centre in his native Colorado when he is not in front of the cameras for The Doctors. His credentials include graduating Magna Cum Laude from Duke University and earning his M.D. with Honours from the University of Virginia. He completed his three-year residency as an emergency room doctor at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.

The self-described "adrenalin junkie" greatly enjoys his work in the ER. "You never know what's going to be coming through the door," he said. "I'm most passionate about taking care of patients. It's an honour for me to apply the skills I've learned to help people in their time of crisis."

An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Stork is a devotee of mountain and road biking, kayaking and hiking in the Rocky Mountains with his dog Nala. He has participated in numerous fund-raisers for organizations such as the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society and, in 1998, he bicycled solo cross-country for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Dr. Lisa M. Masterson, M.D.

THE DOCTORS

Dr. Masterson is a specialist in obstetrics, gynaecology, infertility, adolescent gynaecology and family planning. She is also founder and medical director of the Ocean Oasis Medical Spa also in Santa Monica, which offers spa treatments, exercise and nutrition programs tailored specifically for women.

She attended The Bishop's School, a private school in La Jolla, Calif., and upon graduation, Dr. Masterson entered Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. She graduated from medical school at the University of Southern California.

As a child, Dr. Masterson was inspired by both her mother and grandmother. Her maternal grandmother was the eldest in a family of 12 who became a schoolteacher at segregated black schools in the south. Dr. Masterson's mother was a professor at the University of Washington who went on to serve in the Office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

She and her husband have a 17-year-old son, and the family lives in Southern California. In her spare time, she enjoys surfing and learning French.

THE DOCTORS

Dr. Ordon is an acclaimed plastic and reconstructive surgeon with private practices in New York City; Beverly Hills, Calif.; and Rancho Mirage, Calif.

He earned his medical degree from USC School of Medicine with Honours in Medicine. His General Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery training were completed at USC, UCLA and Loma Linda University School of Medicine, respectively. He then completed his training program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Lenox Hill Hospital/Manhattan Eye and Ear Infirmary Program in New York City. He is currently Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Dartmouth Medical College and the UCLA School of Medicine.

Dr. Ordon regards himself as an artist, as well as a physician/surgeon. "My craft allows me to make an impact and change the quality of life for my patients, whether it's reconstructive surgery or changing something that people don't like about themselves with cosmetic surgery," said Dr. Ordon.

Born and raised in Long Beach, Calif., Dr. Ordon and his wife live in Los Angeles and New York City. In his spare time, Dr. Ordon enjoys surfing, skiing, golf and tennis.

Dr. Jim Sears is a board certified paediatrician who is part of a family practice that he shares with his father, William, and younger brother Robert, located in Capistrano Beach, Calif.

He earned his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1996 and completed his paediatric residency at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine and Tod Children's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1999. During his residency, he received the honour of "Emergency Medicine Resident of the Year."

Dr. Sears loves working with children. It is not uncommon for him to see his patients outside of office hours by attending their birthday parties or graduations. He regards them as part of his extended family.

He and his wife live in San Juan Capistrano, Calif., with their two children. His personal passions include endurance cycling, mountain biking, triathlons, sailboat racing, snow skiing, hiking and acting in musical theater with his daughter.

Dr. Jennifer Berman

Dr. Berman made a unique choice to enter the field of urology, which has been dominated by males for a long time. Her interest in the field, however, has led to her now being considered America's leading expert on women's sexual health issues, having pioneered clinical research studies on the physiology of female sexual function and dysfunction, and the medical therapies for female sexual function complaints.

Dr. Berman received her Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland Medical Center and her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her post-graduate urology residency training at the University of Maryland, and received specialized fellowship training in Female Urology and Female Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA Medical Center. She was an Assistant Professor of Urology at the UCLA Medical Center and co-founded the Female Sexual Medicine Center at UCLA in 2001, serving as its Director.

Born in New York City, Dr. Berman has wanted to be a physician since childhood when her father, a colorectal surgeon, took her on hospital rounds. She is now a mother of two children and in her free time, is a "die-hard" equestrian.

Dr. Rachael Ross is a practicing board-certified family medicine physician and sexologist, whose engaging manner and frankness has garnered comparisons to Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

A pioneer of groundbreaking discussions about relationships, sex, health, abstinence, HIV/AIDS prevention and comprehensive sex education for teenagers, Dr. Rachael has spread her message to audiences across the U.S. on television, social media and numerous publications.

Dr. Rachael earned her M.D. from Meharry Medical College and her Ph.D. from the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists, along with a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, where she studied anthropology. She now lives in Chicago, and in her free time, refurbishes furniture, dabbles in interior design, maintains her medical practice in Gary, and commutes throughout the U.S. passionately, offering "prescriptions for life."

Dr. Jennifer Ashton is a practicing board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist.

A graduate of Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was elected class president four consecutive years, Dr. Ashton has also served as administrative chief resident at St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, where she was awarded the prestigious Chief Resident of the Year Award upon completing her training.

She is also the president and founder of Hygeia Gynecology in Englewood, NJ. In addition to her private practice, in which a full 50% of her patients are teenage girls, Ashton is currently enrolled in the Columbia University Institute of Human Nutrition Master's Degree program in Clinical Nutrition, which she anticipates completing in 2015. She is a triathlete, fitness enthusiast and proud hockey mom.

With sixty years cooking experience, Mary Berry is considered to be the doyenne of baking.

Mary learnt the art of baking from her mother before training at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Paris at the age of just 17. After her training she quickly established herself as a leading cookery writer and broadcaster and throughout her career, has published over 70 cookery books which have been enjoyed by millions of people around the world. In 2012 her contribution to the culinary arts was recognized by the Queen, being appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2012 Birthday Honours.

Mary's personal favourite cake to make is a ginger treacle tray bake, however most people tell her that they enjoy baking her lemon drizzle cake and her tarte au citron. In addition to her baking expertise, Mary has also garnered a reputation for providing practical recipes containing lots of fresh ingredients for the family.

Paul Hollywood is one of the UK's leading artisan bakers. The son of a baker, Paul originally trained as a sculptor until his father persuaded him to change careers. By combining his love of sculpting and baking, Paul established himself as an innovator.

Paul is a Master Baker and has worked in some of the most exclusive hotels in the world including the Dorchester in London.

He cemented his reputation as the leading authority on bread making by publishing the best-selling book '100 Great Breads' which has been translated into seven languages and was named as the 'Top Bread and Pastry Book' of 2005. Luis D. Ortiz grew up in city of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico with his mother, father, and twin brother, Daniel. ROCCO'S DINNER PARTY

American chef born on November 19, 1966, in Queens, New York. Influenced by his Italian heritage and the traditional dishes his mother cooked, he studied at the Culinary Institute of America at age 16 and then at the Jardin de Cygne in France. DiSpirito later broke into the TV industry with a show on the Food Network called The Melting Pot in 2000. His reality show The Restaurant showcased the opening of his New York restaurant, Rocco. The celebrity chef has published numerous cookbooks and remains active in radio and television.

DiSpirito attended Boston University where he earned a bachelor's degree in business in 1990. Moving back to New York, he worked at Kunz's four-star French restaurant Lespinasse—one of the city's most popular spots during the 1990s—for a time. DiSpirito went on to open his own his restaurant Union Pacific in 1997.

While all was not well at Rocco's, DiSpirito scored a great success with his first cookbook, Flavor, that same year. It earned positive reviews and received a James Beard Award in 2004. For his second cookbook, Rocco's Italian-American (2004), DiSpirito worked with his mother to record the story of her family's journey to the United States from Italy as well as share numerous recipes reflecting the family's southern Italian heritage.
