The Doctors

Sundays 9.00am SIN/HK

Dr.TravisStork, M.D.

Dr. Travis Stork is an emergency room physician, who practices at a trauma center in his native Colorado when he is not in front of the cameras for The Doctors. His credentials include graduating Magna Cum Laude from Duke University and earning his M.D. with Honors from the University of Virginia. He completed his three-year residency as an emergency room doctor at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.

A fervent believer in good health, Dr. Stork practices what he preaches and likes to teach by example. With his role on The Doctors, he hopes to enlighten viewers on how to attain and maintain good health. "People don't realize how much control they have over their own health," he said. "Oftentimes, when people come to the ER, it's already too late. There's nothing I'd be more proud of as a doctor than reducing the work load for America's hospitals by teaching viewers how to avoid preventable illnesses."

The self-described "adrenalin junkie" greatly enjoys his work in the ER. "You never know what's going to be coming through the door," he said. "I'm most passionate about taking care of patients. It's an honor for me to apply the skills I've learned to help people in their time of crisis."

Dr. Stork is perhaps best known to television audiences from his starring title role in the series, "The Bachelor," during the series' eighth season set in Paris, France. It was his appearance on that series that brought him to the attention of Dr. Phil McGraw and executive producer, Jay McGraw. What sold Dr. Stork on being involved in the new daytime show was when Dr. Phil told him that he could educate more people in a one-hour episode than during his entire life in the ER.

Dr. Stork has been a regular guest expert on "Dr. Phil" since 2007. He has also appeared on the syndicated talk show, "Rachael Ray." Drawing on his personal and professional experiences, he wrote his first book, Don't Be That Girl: A Guide to Finding the Confident, Rational Girl Within. In the book, Dr. Stork reveals why women must first believe in themselves if they hope to find the type of relationship that will bring them the fulfillment and happiness they deserve.

An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Stork is a devotee of mountain and road biking, kayaking and hiking in the Rocky Mountains with his dog Nala. He has participated in numerous fund-raisers for organizations such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and, in 1998, he bicycled solo cross-country for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Healthy Eating with Daniel Green, The Model Cook

Sundays, 9pm SIN/HK

Healthy-eating Expert and world renowned Television Celebrity Cook of London and America focused on fine fusion culinary that's high on health and low on anything that might be bad about great food. Since the beginning of his Celebrity career, Daniel is a strong advocate on healthy-eating.

"There's no point being thin and unhealthy. Nor is there any need to eat boring food. I love food so I have taught myself to adapt the foods I love to be both low fat and tasty. I don't describe what I did as a diet. I'd just changed the way I eat - and I've never gone back", Daniel says. "All I want is the opportunity to show other people how easy it is."

Daniel Green was originally an overweight teenager who, at the age of 18, started a three-year 'diet' which transformed his life and left him four stones lighter. He was then spotted by a top model agency and his career took off. Daniel spent the next few years modeling for some of the top fashion and lifestyle brands.

However, Daniel decided to turn his back on the lucrative modeling world to help others change their lives in the way he had changed his - through healthy-eating. He developed a passion for cooking and for making gourmet meals using fresh and healthy alternatives to cream, butter and other fattening products. In a competition organized by Good Food magazine to find “TV Chef of the Future”, Daniel impressed the judges with his healthy-eating recipes so much that they declared him the outright winner.

Daniel has co-hosted programmes in the UK such as Weight Matters, Good Food Live, Saturday Kitchen and Weekend Kitchen. Since 2004, Daniel is based in US and presents for Shop NBC. He is also the Kitchen Takeover Chef for a regional Television station – Twin Cities Live.

Daniel has authored four books sold worldwide – Green's Cuisine, Green's Green, Healthy Eating for Lower Cholesterol and World Dining for Life. Two more books – Modern Dining for Life and Healthy Dining for Life – are scheduled to be launched first quarter of 2010.
